morelia "bombing" developments

Finding news about the investigation into the Morelia bombing has been difficult. But there are new developments.

Three members of Los Zetas, the enforcement unit of the Gulf cartel, have confessed to being responsible for the bombing.

You can read the details on
The News.

Maybe this front has been closed before it can expand. We can only hope.

Don't be so naïve. Their "confession" is no guarantee that these guys were actually the ones who engineered the attack. They may have had the crap beat out of them -- if not at the hands of the police, then at the hands of their patrons. Nothing in Mexico ends up neatly tied up with a ribbon.

Jennifer -- Of course, you are correct. We are probably never going to know the full truth. The layers of the onion will never be laid bare.

There were no bombs. The guys tossed grenades.

Michael -- Your editing eye is absolutely correct. While searching for New York Times accuracy, I gave into New Your Post sensationalism. I must confess, though, that anything that explodes in a crowd would pass as a bomb.
