the sand and i

I am going to take a very short sabbatical from blogging. I am on my way to the Oregon coast to speak at a conference.

Could I blog there? Of course.

But I am taking Professor Jiggs to the beach -- perhaps for his last trip to the coast. He is very unsteady on two of his legs -- and walking in sand is far too difficult for him.

So, while Babs is dangling Baby Matilda's toes in the Mexico Pacific, I will be walking near the Oregon Pacific with Jiggs. One cycle begins. One ends.

See you all on Sunday or Monday.

  1. Jiggs is a beautiful Golden. Reminds me of my parents "Ceasar." While you are headed back to the USA, I will be headed to Mexico next week.

  3. I am packing up the truck right now. Jiggs is no longer fond of getting in the truck. I think his joints bother him too much. I have to lift him up and take him out.

He was 12 on 1 January. And I am enjoying every day with him that I can.

  5. Brenda and Wayne -- I am doing a lousy job of taking photographs, but I am blogging while sitting in the conference. WiFi is great.

  7. Babs -- I hope all went well with your family visit on YOUR coast. I almost took Jiggs onto the beach today. But the waves were too high and he was too unsteady. His heart is still into swimming, but those legs of his are not. We are staying for part of the day tomorrow. If the waves calm down, I may allow him a slight dip.
