goblins on parade

This is Professor Jiggs's favorite night of the year. All variety of goblin-garbed neighborhood children come out just to see him.

He has no concept of candy or sweets handed over at demand. He simply knows that little arms wrap around his neck and young lips kiss his head. He gets more squeals and giggles than Hanna Montana. And he imagines himself to once again be the puppy I have almost forgot existed.

I suspect he has his priorities straight. Giving and getting affection will trump mere chocolate any day.

I hope you all have (had) a very happy Hallow e'en.

I just love to see pictures of Mr. Jiggs. In this one he looks so very happy. He looks like he wants to get up and run. Give him a big hug for me please. Take care.

Gloria -- The photograph of el perrito is, of course, 12 years old. But he has been acting that young tonight.

Babs -- I wish I had taken photographs of Jiggs and the kids. But I had too few hands to handle a camera along with everything else.

My Sheltie, Meko, shares Mr. Jiggs' enthusiasm for Halloween. Everytime he hears the doorbell ring, he runs for the door. He loves all of the attention. Last year one little boy was more interested in petting him than getting any candy and asked if he could take him home. How many trick of treaters came to your house?

Colette -- I never get very many children. I bought three small bags of candy and gave double treats. I suspect maybe 50. This was a very busy year. Last year, I think I had 8 or 10. Nothing like when we lived on Risley -- and knew all the trick or treaters by name.

I love that photo of the prof. He looks like the posterchild for happy pups!
I miss Halloween, when my daughters were younger we has an annual party complete with a parade through the neighborhood.

Theresa

Theresa -- The picture of Jiggs captures him exactly as he was as a puppy -- rambunctious, full of confidence, and willful.

Nice picture Steve!! And being an owner of a golden myself, I can say a picture like that is hard to capture. I was looking at BoBo's puppy pictures the other day and could not believe how quickly time had passed. Hope Jiggs is doing well.

Bobo's Mom -- Nice to hear from you again. The photograph was one of those flukes I caught during a play moment. And I am glad I did. It is a great memory. Jiggs is doing better this week, but he is losing weight very fast. We just returned from a nice wet walk, and he is napping.
