Unless I get news the flight down would be futile (road closures and the like), I plan to fly in the morning. There is, of course, the possibility that I will end up stuck in Los Angeles.
If the airport is cut off (as it was after Jova), the airlines will stop using the airport until the roads are opened. I have spent enough time as Tom Hanks in Terminal on this trip.
Steve I read your blog this morning, how you sat in the back of the plane, 2 seats because the one next to you was vacant, good meals not burgers, comely but veiled attendants, & Air Isreal plane parked next when you landed. Hey, I scored a limited edition, cool.
The Blogger application has been acting up over the past week or so. Today's lost post was merely the latest example. Live Writer merely copied what Google told it to copy.
I don't publish a blog, and therefore have no experience with Blogger or Live Writer. But I assume the Live Writer application resides on your computer and uploads your text and formatting to Blogger. If that assumption is correct (and it may not be), why is your work no longer saved in Live Writer?
Live Writer publishes as a draft to Blogger. When it publishes, the draft synchs with the published page -- assuming I have decided to keep it as the published product. When Blogger changes, so does Live Writer. I could solve the problem by saving a copy as a non-published draft. I will do that in the future.
"Until I heard the grumbles and boos." - I literally have tears in my eyes ...
ReplyDeleteIs Hurricane Bud passing close to Melaque? Hope the weather in Bend is better than in Portland.
ReplyDeleteI am in Salem today. The sun is shining.
ReplyDeleteBud is suppposed to hit the Melaque coast just about the same time my plane arrives on Saturday.
It was a very sad moment.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it will blow you off course! Yes, it looks like it will make landfall right near your house. Maybe a few more days in Bend?

ReplyDeleteDid you know that if you run a Windows CD backwards it plays satanic messages? Even worse, if you play it forwards it will install Windows.
ReplyDeleteI think your problem may be Windows Dead Writer.
I have never harbored ill will for Microsoft. I cannotsay the same thing for Google today.
ReplyDeleteYou did indeed.
ReplyDeleteDo you care to expand on your issue with Google? Just curious...
